Campground Description & Information

After a day of traveling through Kentucky, you can roll your rig right into Bear Creek Horse Camp – Big South Fork National River Rec Area. It’s so convenient with the easy-on/easy-off access from the main road. The campground was built for camping and it shows. You’ll find roomy options of sites throughout the park – all friendly staff! Fido will love it with many places to explore. Although you’re not far from Strunk, you’ll feel worlds away as you savor a brilliant spacious campground.

Local City Information

Strunk is an unincorporated community and coal town in McCreary County, Kentucky, United States. The community's post office was established as Strunks Lane on February 18, 1892 and was probably named for George W. Strunk, who owned a local coal mine. By 1894, the post office's name was simplified to Strunk. Its ZIP code is 42649.
